Lower[0..100%]

This slider lets you move the lower range of the active vertex map’s gradient. If, for example, this slider is set to 50%, all points with a weighting of 50% or less will be displayed as if they had a weighting of 0%.

If you’re wondering what this is all good for, imagine you want to edit weighting that lies between 90% and 100%. Even though weighting can be displayed as a black to white gradient, thus offering a high level of contrast, weighting within a range of 10% will nevertheless be difficult to differentiate.

If, however, you move the Lower slider to 90% the complete color gradient within this 10% range will be made visible.

This slider works exactly like the Lower slider, the only difference being that it affects the gradient’s upper range. This lets you utilize the gradient’s complete color range, e.g., to display weighting between 60% and 70%.

Enable this option if you want to replace the standard yellow to red gradient for vertex maps with one of your own. The colors can be defined using the Color setting.

This color gradient will only be made available if Custom Color has been enabled. This Color setting can be used to define your own color gradient for the display of weighting. Usually the high level of contrast of the black to white gradient will suffice. However, if you want to add a little color to your display you can, for example, display all weighting of 30% in orange and all other weighting in blue.
