The creation of mathematically generated patterns
makes it possible to create complex textures free of resolution restrictions without using bitmaps. In
addition, common, real-world structures can be simulated by combining various patterns. This process is made
even easier and more powerful in conjunction with the Noise Node since all settings can also be controlled via
randomness and other noise structures, as in this example in which the Octaves setting defines the complexity

This Node’s calculation method is similar to that of the Basic Noise Node and the Noise shader but offers
additional settings for defining the repetition behavior and the orientation within the texture tiles.
