This is where the reference image is loaded for which the camera will be calibrated. This image should meet several criteria before being selected (see Limitations).

This image will be displayed in the active Viewport as long as the Camera Calibrator tag is selected.

Displays the loaded image’s aspect ratio. This value can be left unchanged as long as its pixels are square (which is the case for most images). If it is an image created with an anamorphic lens (horizontally compressed), enter the aspect ratio of the uncompressed image (e.g., the aspect ratio with which it would be displayed on a television screen; the drop-down menu at the right of the option offers a selection of the most common formats). The aspect ration consists of the quotient between an image’s width and its height.

To the right of the drop-down menu, the aspect ration value defined in the Edit Render Settings menu is displayed.

Lens Profile

A Lens Profile (a file with an *.lns extension) can be loaded here that will be used to un-distort the reference image and depict straight lines as such. If you want to adapt and render 3D objects after the camera has been successfully calibrated, please note the Lens Distortion post effect.

If you click on the small arrow to the left of the setting, the lens profile settings, which you should already be familiar with from the Lens Profile tool, defined for the lens profile will be shown.

Use these settings to scale and move the reference image. This can, for example, be very useful when interactively calibrating very precisely or if you only want to render certain parts of the image.

If Image Scale is set to 100%, the entire image will be fitted proportionally to the render view (i.e., all for edges will be visible).

Use this setting to temporarily disable the projection of the reference image using the Camera Calibrator tag. This will make the remaining scene objects visible. In short: The scene will be displayed as it is rendered.

Tip: 提示:

Use this setting to define the brightness of the reference images displayed in the Viewport, e.g., if the lines or grids that you add cannot be seen clearly enough. This setting does not affect the rendered result.

Keep in Foreground

If enabled, the reference image will always be placed in the foreground, i.e., objects in the scene will not be visible. If disabled, the remaining scene elements will be visible (as if the reference image were lying on a Background object).

Clicking this button will set the image offset to 0% and its scaling to 100%. This means the image would be scaled proportionally and the entire image would be visible.

Scales the image proportionally so it fits within the render view both horizontally and vertically. These options will only be made available if the reference image’s aspect ratio and the render aspect ratio differ.
