A plane will be created using the three start, end and middle positions of the camera’s animation path. This option is suited for camera movements around a given object, e.g., a hemisphierical camera movement around a tree. A plane would be defined for the animation that lies more or less parallel to the ground at the camera’s height (this mode is not suited for forward-moving camera paths).

A plane will be created using the features in the Selection field.

Use this setting to define the world coordinate axis to which the plane will be perpendicular. In most cases this will be the Y axis if you want to make the plane parallel to the floor. If None is selected, the axis will remain undefined.

Here you will find all features that make up the plane.

This will normally be set automatically when the triangle is positioned interactively in the Viewport or selected via the Plane Constraint command. Any number of other features can also be placed into this field from which the average plane should be created.

Click on this button to create a Plane object that will be adapted precisely to the preview (triangle or quad). This object can, for example, then be used as a floor or a surface onto which shadows can be cast.

If used with an Object Tracker, the plane created will be subordinate to this one (and will move with it).
