Two Geometry inputs are available by default. The Add Input and Remove Port commands can be used to configure the desired number of inputs.

To be exact, each Geometry input consists of two individual ports, one for the Geometry and one for the Matrix, i.e., the geometry’s reference system. This is necessary because the geometry data is only available locally. If multiple geometries are melted together, multiple axis systems are involved that first have to be evaluated so the connected geometry can remain unaffected in relation to one another.

Note that the geometry and matrix play a special role at the first input port. This geometry’s matrix will be placed parallel to the axis system of the connected geometry at the world origin (standard matrix). If you want to have a connected geometry, that lies at exactly the same location in space as the individual geometry of which it is composed you have to assign a matrix to the resulting geometry that is the same as the matrix used in the first Geometry input port.

If selections are made on merged geometry, these can be transferred to the connected geometry if this option is enabled.
