Here you can pass the geometry into the Node whose Normals can be aligned uniformly. Note that this function can be restricted to a given selection.

The alignment of the Normals will be calculated based on the polygons. However, if you want to us a selection to restrict the alignment to a part of the geometry, select the element type in this menu whose selection you want to use. You can select from points, edges or polygons.

If you only want to align the Normals on a selected region of a given geometry you can use this setting to pass the respective selection to the Node as an Index Array of the respective elements. Make sure you select the fitting type in the Mode menu.

If the geometry has a Normal tag assigned to it, the Normals saved there will be updated as well if this option is enabled. Otherwise this information will not be updated when saved.
