When active, this setting will check if the tips of the guides to be planted lie closer to the surface than their roots. If so, the tips will be converted to roots and the guides will be planted. So, what’s this good for? Well, let’s say you have imported hair as splines from another application. When you convert these splines to guides, it can happen that the guides will be arranged in an inverted manner. This option lets you quickly fix this.

Align Root

The guides to be planted will be rotated so their root segments are oriented in the direction of the surface Normals.

Distance Limit[0..+∞]

距离限制[0. . + ∞]

This is the maximum distance the guide roots can be displaced when the guides are planted. If the root does not find an appropriate surface within this distance, it will remain unrooted.

这是种植导向植物时导向根可移动的最大距离。如果根在这个距离内没有找到合适的表面，那么它将保持不连根。
