This Layer represents a type of constant that can be blended with other Fields or Layers.

The Field system has an automation that ensures a complete, unlimited effect for an empty Field list (reflects the previous Infinite falloff setting). This is the same effect as the Solid Field Layer with 100% opacity, which is why a Solid Field Layer set to 100% in an otherwise empty Field list would not make a difference if you disabled it.
