This function can be used to export selected objects in a specific format. A corresponding export dialog window will open in which you can define the respective export options.

For some older formats (e.g., Collada, Wavefront obj., VRNL2, etc.), the referenced objects (such as instances) have to be made polygonal so they can be exported. This is not necessary for more up-to-date formats such as FBX.
